Microsoft released the first official service pack for Windows 7. Windows 7 SP1 includes new updates, such as improved reliability when connecting to HDMI audio devices, printing using the XPS Viewer, and restoring previous folders in Windows Explorer after restarting.
What you get from Windows 7 Service Pack 1:
• Helps keep PCs supported.
• Provides ongoing improvement to the operating system, by including previous updates delivered over Windows Update as well as continuing incremental updates to the Windows 7 platform based on customer and partner feedback.

Microsoft has officially announced the public beta availability of service pack 1 for Windows 7.According to Microsoft’s Tammi Reller confirmed that the beta of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 was available to the public from today.

The windows 7 service pack will bring only minor updates to Windows 7 consumer PCs, with Microsoft hoping that people have got the message about using Windows update.

SP1 will include RemoteFX which provides rich 3-D graphical experience for remote users. The service pack also will include a series of incremental updates, previously released on Windows Update for both Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
