How to secure My Android device

Posted on 03 March 2012 by wisdom

secure your android In Modern world of technology there is rapid growth of Smartphone user and day after day many new handsets with some advance feature launch in Smartphone market. In Smartphone series Android is leading Mobile OS with millions of Mobile apps, Along with features there are some security threat also concern with smart phone, here we provide some general tips about Android mobile security adopting this tips surely you can prevent your Android mobile from cybercriminals, malware risk.

  • Use the official Android Market instead of third-party app stores or websites, especially now that Bouncer is used to monitor for malware. If you want to help ensure that you only install apps from Android Market, you can turn off the ability to install apps from unknown sources in by going to Settings and then to the Security menu (in Android 4.0 or later) or the Applications menu (in earlier versions of Android).
  • Research apps before downloading: Check the publisher and app reviews.
  •  Pay attention to app permissions during the installation and check the market listing or developer for an explanation of any suspicious permission.
  •  Install an antivirus/security app.
  •  Be wary of phishing scams and malware via the Web browser or SMS messages.
  • Be cautious if you root your device and keep an eye out for the Superuser prompts that are displayed when an app requests root permissions. Rooting allows you to use some powerful apps and even enhanced security functionality, but at the same time increases potential damage from infections.
  •  To protect your Android device against local attacks — a thief or snooper — enable lock screen security (or, if you’re one of the lucky few who already have Ice Cream Sandwich, you can test out the new Face Unlock feature.)
  • Finally, to prevent any malicious apps from sending messages to a number that will automatically charge your account, see if your wireless carrier can block the ability to sign up for premium SMS subscriptions.

If you like this Android security tips and you think this is useful for android user please share it with your friends also and if you know some other issue regarding mobile security please add in listing using comments, I appreciate your thoughts.

After getting awesome response in smartphone market Samsung mobile always in mood to give something new to its user, this time smartphone giant release Projector phone named Samsung Galaxy Beam.
The Galaxy Beam may not be the first smartphone to include an LED projection unit, but it certainly looks to be the most impressive yet. As well as the typical touch screen playback of movies and games, you can also tap the screen and have the output projected onto a nearby surface. Apparently it looks pretty good up to about 50-inches.

Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Beam

Samsung Galaxy Beam, is the thinnest projector phone. It comes with a 1 GHz processor, powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4 inch super AMOLED screen, and a 2000 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Beam is fitted with a pico projector with 15 lumens. It can project an image of 50 inches. It’s like carrying a TV with you all the time. Though the resolution of the final picture decides the fate, Galaxy Beam will get everyone excited. All of this is packed into a slim 12.5 mm thick body.
The Beam runs a 1GHz ST Ericsson dual-core chip, a 4-inch display, 8GB of on-board storage. As you’d expect, the inclusion of a projector makes the phone heavier and thicker, but not significantly so. The Beam weighs 145 grams and measures 12.5mm thick, meaning it is still pocket-friendly.

There’s no details yet as to when the Galaxy Beam will release. It’s also likely Samsung will market it to business users, although I’m sure younger users would be interested too due to the potential to project games and movies on walls for their friends to see.

Samsung dual-SIM Galaxy Y Duos Androids

Posted on 26 December 2011 by wisdom

Samsung today introduced the Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos, a pair of Android smartphone in their Galaxy mobile series that have space for two SIM cards.
Samsung dual-SIM Galaxy Y Duos AndroidsThe Galaxy Y Duos is an all-touch Android 2.3 Gingerbread setup with a 3.1-inch QVGA screen, a 3-megapixel fixed-focus camera, and the Android works. It also has a 1,300mAh battery.
On the slightly higher end of the scale there’s the Galaxy Y Pro Duos, which runs the same Android version and has a full QWERTY keyboard on its candy-bar frame (that keyboard is how you know it’s “pro”). As a result, the screen is a smaller 2.6 inches. There’s a 3-megapixel camera on the back, but Samsung has also added a front-facing VGA camera and a slightly larger 1,350mAh battery.
While there’s no pricing for this yet, Samsung has shared a January release date, and a first market: Russia. The Galaxy Y Duos will then “gradually” roll out to Europe, Africa, CIS, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, the Middle East, and China. The keyboarded Pro version is headed to Europe, Africa, CIS, Latin America, Southwest Asia, and the Middle East.
North Americans looking for this type of solution are sadly going to have to keep looking for now (or start lobbying Samsung). I’m interested in seeing this in action; hopefully, Samsung brings the duo of Duos along with it to CES, just for fun.

Free Android apps for iPhone look

Posted on 18 October 2011 by wisdom

Free Android apps for iPhone look If you are android owner and also willing to have iphone or if you want to try an iphone in your hand. For that I have an cosmetic process for your android mobile here we provide the list of some free android apps that make your android phone as similar as iphone.Try this apps and feel the difference of iphone.lets check out this apps.

1.Handcent SMS
Handcent SMS is a theme-based SMS system which has an iPhone-fooling green and grey bubble conversation-based mode that looks just like the iPhone. It’s also more than just a pretty face, as it brings improved security and group handling too.

2.Classic Notes Lite

The classic yellow background and light-lined writing style of the iPhone notes app is a hard one to miss, but Classic Notes Lite riffs if perfectly even down to the font and adds a whole lot more, such as sharing notes via Twitter and Google Calender support.

3.Go Contacts EX & iPhone Theme

Go Contacts EX & iPhone Theme free is pretty special as it’s a replacement contacts app that can be themed with an excellent iPhone-style skin, which frankly ends up being far better than the iOS variant. If you’ve recently switched from an iOS device then certainly the other benefit in this system will have you feeling right at home.

4.iPhone Go Launcher EX Theme
iPhone Go Launcher EX Theme is a beautiful free theme for the excellent Go Launcher EX skinning and home-screen replacement system. All the default icons, dock and wallpapers are in place to provide an authentic iPhone feel. It doesn’t have as many icons as other themes here, which is a shame but everything else looks perfect.

5.iPhone Style Folder
iPhone Style Folder works much like a number of other Android desktop folder systems but takes the classy iPhone style of grouping mini-icons within. Works via the Widget system and helps you get your home-screens back under control.

6. LockBot
The rather rough and ready looking LockBot may lack a little style but in use its iPhone themed lock-screen does the job. Once you’re bored of fooling your friends it comes with a host of other styles to choose from including a Honeycomb one.
