The Bollywood superstar will pick up less than 5% stake in the company, a company official said.
Yatra.com President Sharat Dhall said the company will launch a multimedia campaign featuring Salman Khan with a marketing budget in excess of Rs 30 crore within a few days, coupled with new product offerings such as instalment payment for air tickets.
Salman Khan, who endorses brands such as Wheel, Mountain Dew and Chlormint, charges between 4-6 crore per year, according to estimates.

* The idea of the film originated when Anubhav was watching a commercial about six years ago which showed two children controlling a human with a remote.

* Anubhav and Shah Rukh watched as many as 200 superhero films in multiple languages from all over the world before making “RA.One”.

* Shah Rukh had to don prosthetic make up for 8 to 10 hours a day without a break which made it difficult for him to even eat and drink.

* It has 3,500 VFX shots, which could mark a new beginning for the use of the technology in Indian films.

*The film is releasing in more than 3,000 screens in the domestic market in 2D and around 500 screens in 3D. The film has been dubbed in Tamil and Telugu and it will also make inroads in South Korea and Hongkong, where Bollywood movies are not so popular.

* The G.One suit that ShahRukh wears in the film is made of silicon, styrofoam and rubber and is said to be considerably heavy. SRK said he lost 5 kgs after shooting in the superhero suit.

* Shah Rukh has roped in Oscar winner Resul Pookutty for the special sound effects. The team went to Los Angeles get the sound effects done for the film.

* Jeff Kleiser of 1994 Hollywood film “Stargate” was hired as the supervisor of visual effects.

* The task of adding special effects was outsourced to multiple specialty studios including in London, Paris and Bangkok, as also in the US.

* Dolby surround 7.1 system has been installed in several multiplexes in the run-up to the sci-fi`s release.

* Chinese actor Jackie Chan was reportedly approached for a role in the film and later Chinese-American actor Tom Wu was signed on to be a part of the film.

* Shah Rukh roped in international singer Akon for two songs — “Chammak Challo” and “Criminal” — and both of them are a rage.

* The music launch of “RA.One” was streamed live on a video-sharing site for an undisclosed amount. The event`s telecast rights are believed to have been sold to the TV channel for a Rs.10 crore.

* Satellite rights of the film have reportedly been sold for Rs.35 crore, while distribution rights have been sold for Rs.77 crore.

Akshay is glad to be part of Transformer and said, “My son is a huge Transformers fan and it was he who first got me hooked on the Transformers movies. In fact, as a father I always want to be my son’s superhero. Optimus Prime is son’s favorite character.”

“There is no business deal involved in it as I have not taken any money,” added the actor.

Salman Khan’s clearly on a roll. Salman started with WANTED, continued with DABANGG, and now it’s all set to get stronger with READY. In fact, the success of WANTED and DABANGG, was in all likelihood, the reason to make READY. The film has Salman Khan written all over it.

Salman plays Prem a ‘bholi shakal wala kamina‘. Sanjana (Asin) enters Prem’s life pretending to be the US returned Pooja, Prem’s potential wife. Even Prem isn’t aware about Sanjana’s asliyat. She’s actually on the run because of her warring mamas, who want to get her married to their respective saalas, so that they can inherit her property. When Prem is made aware about this, he decides to put an end to the animosity between the brothers, but in his own unique style.

Director Anees Bazmee kicks off the film nicely with short character introductions .And to introduce Prem’s character, there’s the Character Dheela item song with Zarine Khan. The first half is breezy, sprinkled with the right amount of humor. So far, so good.

After the interval, the graph of the narrative does dip. The typical Anees Bazmee type humour takes over. Prem’s action scenes in the climax do manage to elevate the proceedings to a certain extent. But unlike DABANGG, there aren’t many dialogues or action sequences that you’ll treasure for a long time.

Salman Khan is in his element. His usual style and charisma is very much there. Asin is nice and has a meaty role. Paresh Rawal is excellent. Mahesh Manjerekar gets a well etched out character. Manoj Joshi gets a good role. Sudesh Lehri is hilarious. Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Kangna Ranaut, Zarine Khan, Chunky Pandey and Arbaaz Khan are fun to watch in their cameos. All the other actors are fine in their respective roles.

Apart from Salman, READY has enough masala to be a complete entertainer.
