Micromax has announced company’s first Android tablet today in the India. Named as Funbook, with price tag of INR 6,499 and this tablet whose price is below 10,000 will come with Android 4.0 on-board.

Micromax Funbook features 7-inch capacitive display with 800x480p resolution, 1.2GHz processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. Company is also bundling Tata Photon data card with 2 months free usage (limited to 1 GB). which can be used via USB port on the tablet for connectivity.

Company is also targeting students with this tablet and have pre-loaded e-learning app on the tablet, which will come with content from various publishers including Pearson, Scholarshub etc.
