After 1 year and 5 days waiting God of cricket Sachine Tendulkar has finally made it 100th century against Bangladesh in Asia cup 2012.After this century Sachine become the only men who can reach such unbeatable goal.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was the first to congratulate Tendulkar. His office tweeted his message: ”I join the nation in congratulating Sachin Tendulkar on his making history – a hundred centuries. He has made India proud. Tendulkar’s long career has been a triumph of class, character and courage. Wish him many more innings and feats to continue inspiring the youth.”

Tendulkar’s 100th century was a fluent innings, which began a brilliant cover drive for four in the second over of India’s innings in Mirpur. His cutting and driving was especially eye-catching, and the way he maneuvered the Bangladesh spinners was masterful. His half-century came up with a lofted boundary over extra, off the 63 balls, and three figures came in the 44th over, off 138 deliveries and with ten fours and one six.

Tendulkar, 38, had been stuck on 99 international centuries since March 12, 2011 when he scored a century against South Africa during the World Cup. During the time he took to move from 99 to 100, so much has changed for the Indian cricket team. In the last 12 months they have won the World Cup, slipped form their No. 1 perch in the ICC’s Test rankings, been whitewashed in consecutive overseas Test tours, failed to make the finals of a tri-series, and have seen Rahul Dravid make his exit from the international scene.

God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar get new honour and this houner is not small one sachine get honorary rank of Group Captain of the Indian Air Force,And after getting this honor sachine feel so glad.
Sachin said: “It is indeed a great honour that I have been considered for the honorary rank of Group Captain in the Indian Air Force. As an Indian, I am very proud to be associated with this dynamic force and I shall do my very best to be a brand ambassador for the IAF.”

Expressing his eagerness to interact with the air warriors, he said, “I am looking forward to familiarizing myself with the Indian Air Force. I once again salute the Indian Air Force for this great honour bestowed on me.”

“Under the provision of grant of honorary rank by the Armed Forces to eminent personalities acknowledging their contribution towards the nation, President Pratibha Devisingh Patil is pleased to confer Sachin with the honorary rank of Group Captain,” said an IAF statement.

In recognition of Sachin’s glorious achievements as a cricketer and sports icon par excellence, the Air Force had mooted a proposal to confer the rank of Group Captain.After this association of sachine with the IAF will motivate the younger generation to join the Air Force to serve the country.

Till date 21 persons have been granted the honorary ranks from Flight Lieutenant to Air Marshal.
